The Biggest Adventures Coming from D23 2026

This past weekend, Disney’s D23 Expo dropped an absolute landslide of new park announcements. And honestly? I haven’t been this excited about the future of travel in a long time. There is so much coming to help you and the people you love experience more of life

Magic Kingdom Gets Gritty and Wild

I’ll never forget the 4,000-mile camping trip my son and I took across the country’s national parks. It was pure adventure. That’s why I’m thrilled that Magic Kingdom is bringing that spirit to life with Piston Peak, an all-new Cars-themed land inspired by America's Rocky Mountains and national parks.

  • There will be a rugged off-road racing rally and a demolition derby ride starring Miss Fritter!

  • The rumors are true: Villains Land is officially coming. It will feature a massive Maleficent roller coaster going through her mountaintop fortress, plus an Evil Queen Magic Mirror dark ride.

  • The Carousel of Progress is getting a major 1980s update by late spring 2027, featuring Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston voicing the parents!

Monsters, Explorers, and Human Connection

The sheer volume of new experiences coming across Walt Disney World and Disneyland is incredible

  • Tropical Americas (Animal Kingdom): Opening in 2027, this new land will feature an Indiana Jones dark ride (complete with a Harrison Ford animatronic) and a beautiful Encanto attraction where you ride enchanted furniture.

  • Monstropolis (Hollywood Studios): The Monsters, Inc. universe is partially opening in 2027 with a Harryhausen’s sushi restaurant and a new show. The highly anticipated suspended door coaster is coming later.

  • The Yeti Breathes Again: Yes, after roughly 20 years, Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest Yeti is finally getting repaired so he can move again!

  • EPCOT Restorations: Spaceship Earth is getting an update focusing on human connection, and my personal favorite—Dreamfinder is officially returning to the Journey Into Imagination ride!

  • Disneyland Reimagined: Tomorrowland is getting a massive overhaul, and Avengers Campus will welcome two new rides in 2028.

Beyond the Parks

For those looking to explore the world by sea, Disney Cruise Line is launching the Disney Believe in 2027, featuring Tinker Bell on the bow and Moana in the Grand Hall. The world is bigger than our everyday routine, and these ships are incredible ways to expand your perspective while traveling with friends and family
